Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Make a difference each day by supporting students’ communication skills in a dynamic school environment serving ages 5-21 with autism. Flexible opportunities currently available: one full-time position, one part-time opening (2-3 days a week, adjustable to your availability and caseload), and a short-term maternity leave coverage from July through October.
In this contract role, you’ll deliver high-quality speech-language services across a diverse K-12 population. You’ll be responsible for individual and group therapy sessions—10 sessions per day, approximately 50 sessions per week—catering to varied needs and abilities. Your duties will include maintaining daily therapy notes, preparing quarterly and annual progress reports, completing IEP drafts, and conducting monthly audits of attendance and session documentation.
Ideal Candidates Will Have
- Active SLP credentials/certification to practice in school settings
- Experience working with students with autism across K-12 grades
- Familiarity and comfort using AAC devices, such as TouchChat, LAMP, and Proloquo
- Previous work with similar populations strongly preferred
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to complete required treatment documentation thoroughly and on schedule
Key Responsibilities Include
- Conducting individual and group therapy sessions
- Maintaining accurate, timely treatment notes and progress reports
- Drafting annual IEP updates for assigned students
- Completing monthly attendance/session audits
- Collaborating closely with school staff and parents to best support student needs
