Desired Qualifications
- Valid certification as a School Psychologist
- Experience providing psychological services within an educational setting, ideally at the elementary level
- Knowledge of special education laws, assessment, and intervention techniques
- Strong communication and consultation abilities for working with teachers, families, and students
- Ability to develop and implement effective behavior and academic plans
- Bilingual skills are a plus, but not required
- Commitment to serving diverse student populations with respect and compassion
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct individual and group assessments to identify student strengths and needs
- Collaborate with educational teams on eligibility determinations and educational planning
- Provide counseling, crisis intervention, and behavioral support to students
- Offer consultation and training for staff and guidance for parents regarding student needs and interventions
- Develop data-driven strategies that focus on maximizing student success
- Maintain compliance with district, state, and federal requirements
- Manage a caseload of K-5 students with varying backgrounds and needs, up to 40 hours per week
