Qualifications
- Active and unencumbered RN license
- Minimum 2 years of related experience in medical-surgical and telemetry nursing required
- Proven experience using Cerner electronic health record system is essential
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking abilities
- Excellent communication skills and the capacity to work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary team
- Current BLS certification (additional certifications such as ACLS preferred)
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and monitor individualized patient care plans for those requiring medical-surgical and telemetry services
- Monitor cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and promptly respond to changes in patient conditions
- Collaborate with physicians and allied health professionals to coordinate comprehensive patient care
- Document patient information, medications, and ongoing progress accurately within the Cerner system
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions according to best practices and protocols
- Provide patient and family education regarding care plans, procedures, and post-discharge expectations
