Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
An excellent opportunity is available for an experienced pharmacist to support long-term care pharmacy operations. This contract-to-hire role offers a part-time schedule with a mix of day and evening shifts, including rotating weekends, within pharmacy operating hours that cover weekdays, weekends, and holidays. The position is based in Sparta, MI.
Schedule / Hours
- Monday to Friday: 9 AM – 8 PM
- Saturday, Sunday, and Holidays: 10 AM – 6 PM
- Rotating weekends and varied day/evening shifts
- Ongoing part-time hours
Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive long-term care pharmacy duties, including PV1 and PV2 functions
- Supervise pharmacy technicians ensuring efficient workflow and accuracy
- Compound and verify sterile and non-sterile medications such as IVs and TPNs
- Oversee multi-dose and blister packaging processes
- Maintain compliance with protocols related to medication preparation and verification
Desired Qualifications
- Current and valid Michigan pharmacist license in good standing
- Prior experience in long-term care pharmacy preferred, especially with PV1/PV2 duties
- Hands-on experience compounding sterile and non-sterile medications, including IVs and TPNs
- Familiarity with Frameworks pharmacy system is highly preferred; candidates willing to learn will also be considered
- Proven ability to supervise pharmacy technicians and manage multi-dose packaging processes
