Your role at Baxter
As the Associate Director for Customer Optimization and Adoption within Integrated Solutions, you will lead a multidisciplinary team of Customer Success Leaders, Clinical Managers, and Connected System Application Engineers. Reporting to the Director of Clinical Operations, you will guide a team that blends strategic thinking, proactive communication, and empathy to drive customer value, satisfaction, and retention. Your leadership will directly influence customer stability, operational effectiveness, and the long‑term success of Baxter’s Integrated Solutions business.
You will shape customer success strategies, strengthen cross‑functional collaboration, and establish scalable processes that support both customer outcomes and internal efficiency. This role requires a decisive, relationship‑driven leader who can navigate ambiguity, translate vision into actionable plans, and serve as a trusted partner across Baxter’s clinical, technical, and commercial teams.
This role can be based anywhere in the U.S., and candidates should live within a reasonable distance of a major airport to support occasional travel.
What you’ll be doing
Developing customer success strategies that improve retention, expansion, and overall customer health
Leading and mentoring a multidisciplinary team of Customer Success Leaders, Clinical Managers, and Application Engineers
Establishing structure and process for new initiatives to prioritize work and eliminate duplication
Providing insight on competitive landscape to guide decision‑making and strategic focus
Driving operational efficiencies across the Customer Optimization and Adoption team
Building strong internal partnerships that foster collaboration and effective communication
Creating and executing best‑practice frameworks and playbooks for customer success
Reporting operational and strategic metrics to Baxter leadership and supporting revenue‑driven initiatives
What you’ll bring
5+ years of experience in healthcare technology implementation or related healthcare fields
Background in healthcare, medical devices, or professional services strongly preferred
Ability to evaluate trade‑offs and drive decisions with cross‑functional alignment
Comfort operating in a matrixed environment with competing priorities
Strong attention to detail and motivation for high‑level problem solving
Experience in fast‑paced global environments
Clear, decisive thinking that accelerates team execution
Strong communication, leadership, and relationship‑building skills
We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $160,000 to $220,000 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than of the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based on upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors. This position is also eligible for discretionary bonuses and long-term incentive.
