About The Role
The
Manufacturer Relations Associate supports the administration and execution of brand distribution programs with pharmaceutical manufacturer partners. Working closely with the Senior Trade Manager(s) and cross-functional teams, this role helps coordinate manufacturer onboarding, program implementation, operational readiness, and ongoing program support.
This position is ideal for an early-career professional interested in building expertise in pharmaceutical distribution, manufacturer operations, and distribution program management. The Manufacturer Relations Associate will gain exposure to manufacturer relationships, contract administration, product launches, and distribution program operations while supporting the successful execution of manufacturer programs and business objectives.
What You'll Do
- Support manufacturer onboarding and implementation activities by coordinating project tasks, tracking milestones, maintaining documentation, and helping ensure successful program launches.
- Assist with day-to-day administration of manufacturer distribution programs and serve as an operational contact for routine questions and requests.
- Support preparation for manufacturer meetings, business reviews, and program performance discussions by gathering information, preparing materials, and coordinating follow-up activities.
- Partner with Finance and Accounting to support invoice review processes, documentation requests, and customer follow-up activities as needed.
- Monitor upcoming brand product launches, product changes, and operational updates and communicate relevant information to internal stakeholders.
- Coordinate with Purchasing, Customer Service, Distribution Centers, Finance, and other internal teams to support issue resolution and ensure operational alignment.
- Maintain product master data and system records, including new item setup, NDC updates, product discontinuations, attribute changes, WAC updates, and backorder maintenance.
- Maintain program documentation, reporting, and tracking tools to support efficient manufacturer program administration.
- Assist Senior Trade Managers with identifying operational considerations related to product launches and distribution program activities.
- Escalate complex operational, contractual, or manufacturer relationship matters to senior team members as appropriate.
- Continuously develop knowledge of pharmaceutical distribution, manufacturer programs, and supply chain operations.
What You’ll Need To Succeed
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare, Supply Chain, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 1+ years of professional experience in business operations, healthcare, pharmaceutical distribution, customer support, supply chain, project coordination, or a related field.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively across teams and build positive working relationships.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to gather information, identify issues, and support problem-solving efforts.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Teams.
- Willingness to learn complex business processes, manufacturer programs, and pharmaceutical operations.
What Sets You Apart
- Pharmaceutical industry experience and/or Rx product knowledge preferred.
- Experience coordinating projects, programs, or operational activities.
- Familiarity with ERP systems, product master data management, or operational reporting.
- Demonstrated analytical skills and understanding of supply chain operations.
- Ability to interpret business processes and support implementation activities.
- Strong customer service orientation and follow-through.
- Curiosity, initiative, and desire to build expertise within pharmaceutical distribution.
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
