Description:
The Return Analyst is responsible for validating return claims from assigned wholesalers, distributors, and retailers, while adhering to strict timelines and contractual agreements. This role also assists with the review and reconciliation of return deduction variances, as well as analyzing and processing expired return credits accurately and timely. This role is responsible for determining whether to process or deny credit based on several criteria including Amneal's returns and pricing policies and customer specific agreements.
Essential Functions:
- Validate assigned customer return claims for accuracy and eligibility based on corporate policy and customer specific contracts. Develop a good understanding of Amneal policies as well as customer specific agreements in order to correctly reimburse customers for their returns. Process credits through our in-house returns processing system and prepare all dispute documents for assigned customers, when applicable. Identify issues with third party vendor transmission and partner with vendor to resolve.
- Communicate payment and dispute information directly to customers and provide follow-up data when requested. Discuss explanation of policy and interpretation of customer contract language with customer to support dispute. Work with customers, and management, when necessary, to obtain pay-back and resolution to disputes, contributing up to 10% of the department targets for revenue leakage savings goal.
- Performs ad-hoc analytics to investigate product return discrepancies or data needs for management, as well as internal or external customers. Take initiative to analyze data to reveal root cause of discrepancies and review results with management to determine corrective action. Provide data and analysis to internal and external audit teams, as well as documentation proving adherence to the department’s SOX controls.
- Perform reconciliation analysis of assigned customer debits compared to Amneal-issued credits. Partner with A/R to resolve variances as well as day-to-day troubleshooting. Work with A/R on collection of outstanding aged paybacks.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Ability to cross-train and learn additional areas of responsibility within Trade Finance, such as rebates, contract administration, etc. to ensure good customer service during PTO period.
- Perform miscellaneous duties/projects as required
Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelors Degree (BA/BS) Accounting, Finance, or other financial area of study - Required
Experience:
- 2 years or more in Corporate Financial Experience
- 1 year or more in Pharmaceutical Experience
The base salary for this position ranges from $70,000 - $85,000 per year. In addition, Amneal offers a short-term incentive opportunity, such as a bonus or performance-based award, with this position within the first 12 months. Amneal ranges reflect the Company’s good faith estimate of what Amneal reasonably believes that it will pay for said position at the time of the posting. Individual compensation will ultimately be determined based on a variety of relevant factors, including but not limited to, qualifications, experience, geographic location and other relevant skills.
