In this pivotal role, you’ll work onsite with caseloads of about 50-55 students, addressing the communication needs of diverse age groups. Your expertise will support progress in language development, enabling every child to thrive academically and socially.
Qualifications
- Active Florida Department of Health SLPA license required
- Experience in a school setting as a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant highly valued
- Flexible and adaptable to service multiple campuses as assigned
- Strong commitment to supporting students across different age ranges and backgrounds
- Must complete or transfer Florida school district fingerprinting and obtain a JLA badge as needed
Responsibilities
- Provide direct support to students as outlined in their Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) under the supervision of a licensed SLP
- Collaborate with educators and other professionals to optimize student communication outcomes
- Accurately document progress and maintain confidentiality
- Travel between assigned schools if necessary
- Participate in team meetings and staff development
