Qualifications & Experience
- Valid Florida ESE certification
- K-6 or PK-3 General Education certification required
- Prior experience teaching in a self-contained ESE classroom
- Strong understanding of various learning levels and exceptionalities
- Willingness to complete the fingerprinting process (check via AHCA Clearinghouse if previous prints are available)
- Ready to participate in internal eligibility and virtual prescreen interviews to ensure a great fit
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a self-contained classroom, providing tailored instruction to meet individual student needs
- Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and structured classroom environment
- Collaborate with support teams, parents, and other educators for student success
- Maintain accurate records and progress reports in accordance with school district policies
