Position Overview

Rx relief is seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Technician to join an elite team in a closed-door, Long-Term Care (LTC) setting in St. Louis. In this role, you will focus purely on accuracy, technology, and patient care without the distractions of traditional walk-in retail environments.
What You’ll Do (Key Responsibilities)
Order Fulfillment: Safely and efficiently prepare, fill, and dispense medications under pharmacist supervision.
Advanced Packaging & Tech: Package medications into specialized blister-packs and operate our state-of-the-art robotic dispensing systems.
Specialized Prep: Execute precise IV compounding and manage critical Emergency Kits (E-Kits) destined for care facilities.
Inventory Control: Aid in managing wholesale medication orders, tracking stock levels, and handling medication returns.
Logistics & Communication: Organize and prepare medication shipments to match strict facility delivery timelines. Professionally manage inbound phone calls, routing complex clinical questions straight to the pharmacist.
Compliance: Adhere strictly to all regulatory standards and corporate operational initiatives.
Schedule & Compensation
Hourly Rate: $18.00 – $20.00/hour (Highly negotiable based on depth of experience)
Hours: Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Flexibility: Candidates must be available to work a rotating weekend schedule.
What We Are Looking For (Requirements)
Licensure: Must hold and maintain an active Pharmacy Technician License in the state of Missouri.
Experience: Prior experience in a Long-Term Care (LTC) pharmacy is highly valued, but not required—we are ready to train the right candidate!
Tech-Savvy: Strong computer literacy, including comfort with pharmacy software and the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Soft Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills paired with top-tier organizational habits.
Physical Environment & Demands
This is a dynamic, active pharmacy environment that requires high attention to detail and physical stamina.
Prolonged periods of standing, walking, bending, reaching, and kneeling during a shift.
Ability to lift, carry, and transport pharmacy materials weighing up to 25 lbs (roughly 10% of the workday).
Continuous use of office and pharmacy tech, including computers, printers, and labeling systems (up to 100% of the time).
Visual acuity to safely identify medications, catch errors, and verify details without interruption.
