The Role
Moderna is seeking an experienced and driven Individual to join the Digital Commercial Engineering (DCE) team based in Cambridge, MA. This role will play a critical part in supporting Moderna’s Commercial initiatives across multiple geographies by driving digital execution and enabling scalable, compliant, and high-impact solutions that help Moderna deliver on its mission of creating transformative medicines for patients around the world.
As a key member of the DCE organization, you will partner closely with business stakeholders across Moderna’s Commercial teams to understand digital and operational needs, translate business requirements into actionable delivery plans, and collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to drive execution of commercial digital initiatives.
You will operate at the intersection of business and technology—driving alignment across stakeholders, influencing prioritization decisions, and ensuring successful delivery of complex cross-functional programs that support Moderna’s evolving Commercial landscape.
Here’s What You’ll Do
- Partner with Business Stakeholders across Moderna’s Commercial teams to deeply understand digital, customer, and business needs. Define and document clear business and technical requirements, translating them into actionable deliverables that drive product direction, execution planning, and delivery outcomes in collaboration with Digital Product and Engineering teams.
- Lead end-to-end program planning and execution for complex cross-functional initiatives, managing scope, schedules, dependencies, risks, and delivery milestones to ensure successful execution and alignment with business priorities.
- Drive collaboration among Product, Engineering, Security, Compliance, and Business teams to influence technical solutions, resolve dependencies, and deliver scalable, high-quality digital capabilities.
- Influence prioritization and execution decisions through data-informed insights, transparent communication, and proactive risk management while providing visibility into program progress, key decisions, and delivery outcomes to stakeholders and leadership teams.
- Champion operational excellence in program delivery by driving consistent execution practices, improving delivery processes, and promoting continuous improvement across teams.
- Support planning and coordination across multiple workstreams and stakeholders to ensure alignment, execution momentum, and successful delivery of Commercial digital initiatives across markets.
- Drive accountability across teams by facilitating decision-making, removing blockers, and ensuring clear ownership and follow-through on program deliverables.
Here’s What You’ll Need (Basic Qualifications)
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent professional experience).
- 7+ years of overall professional experience, with at least 4+ years in technical program management, technical product delivery, or related experience supporting complex cross-functional software or digital initiatives.
- Proven ability to manage complex technical programs with multiple stakeholders across business and technology functions. Experience supporting programs spanning multiple markets or regions is preferred.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and drive alignment across teams.
- Strong technical fluency with the ability to collaborate effectively with Engineering teams, understand system dependencies, and support technical delivery discussions.
- Experience working with commercial digital systems, customer platforms, or enterprise business systems supporting global or multi-geography operations.
- Familiarity with regulated industries (biotech, pharma, healthcare) and understanding of compliance, data privacy, and localization requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with both Business and Technical stakeholders across cross-functional and geographically distributed teams.
- A mindset aligned with Moderna’s values: Bold, Relentless, Curious, and Collaborative.
- Evidence of Moderna Mindsets: We behave like owners – driving results that go beyond any job description; We act with dynamic range – balancing strategy and execution seamlessly; We prioritize the platform – enabling scalability and sustainability over point solutions.
Here’s What You’ll Bring to the Table (Preferred Qualifications)
- Proven track record of driving execution across complex programs while balancing business priorities, stakeholder needs, and technical delivery considerations.
- Exceptional communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate complex technical topics into clear business insights.
