What We’re Looking For:
We are seeking a highly organized and collaborative Agile Project Manager to join our growing team in a hybrid capacity based out of Bolingbrook, IL. In this role you will drive cross-functional initiatives from inception to delivery, ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope, and aligned with IMS’s strategic objectives. You will serve as a servant-leader, championing Agile principles across the organization and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Job Requirements
What You Bring to the Table:
Required Skills:
- 5+ years of experience as a Project Manager, Scrum Master, or Agile Program Manager.
- Demonstrated hands-on experience facilitating Agile ceremonies and coaching Scrum or Kanban teams.
- Strong understanding of the full project lifecycle, from requirements gathering through deployment and post-launch support.
- Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects with competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
- Proficiency with project management and collaboration tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Project, Azure DevOps, or equivalent).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven mindset.
- Ability to work on-site at our Bolingbrook, IL office on a hybrid schedule.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in healthcare, medical distribution, or a regulated industry.
- Familiarity with ERP or WMS implementations (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Epicor P21 or similar platforms).
- Knowledge of SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) or other enterprise Agile frameworks.
- Proficiency with business intelligence or reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
- Background in change management methodologies (e.g., Prosci, ADKAR).
Certifications:
- PMP (Project Management Professional) – preferred
- PMI-ACP (Agile Certified Practitioner) – preferred
- CSM (Certified ScrumMaster) – preferred
Job Responsibilities
How You’ll Make an Impact:
- Lead sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives for one or more cross-functional Agile teams.
- Develop and maintain project roadmaps, timelines, and status reports that keep stakeholders informed and aligned.
- Identify, track, and remove impediments that block team progress; escalate risks proactively with recommended mitigation strategies.
- Groom and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring stories are well-defined and acceptance criteria are clear.
- Collaborate with IT, Operations, Sales, and Clinical teams to coordinate dependencies and drive end-to-end delivery of technology and business initiatives.
- Facilitate change management activities, including communication plans and training coordination, to support smooth rollouts.
- Track and report on key Agile metrics (velocity, cycle time, burndown) and leverage data to guide continuous process improvements.
- Champion Agile best practices and coach team members and stakeholders on Scrum/Kanban frameworks.
- Manage vendor relationships and third-party deliverables as part of project execution.
- Maintain thorough project documentation in accordance with IMS’s standards and compliance requirements.
