What Inventory Management Contributes To Cardinal Health
Operations is responsible for materials handling and product distribution in a distribution or manufacturing environment. Includes warehousing and fulfillment of materials and products, transportation, inventory management as well as demand, supply and manufacturing planning.
Inventory Management is accountable for the design and execution of demand planning and customer forecasting systems, supply planning, product deployment and expediting processes, and the development and implementation of a stocking optimization model to minimize costs and inventory while delivering on service requirements.
Job Summary
The Senior Coordinator, Inventory Management analyzes existing inventory and resolves inbound discrepancies in order to drive the operational efficiency of warehouse operations. The Senior Coordinator validates inbound shipments and leads regular cycle counts. By ensuring the quality and efficiency of inventory management, this job contributes to customer satisfaction and minimizing the facility’s expenses.
Responsibilities
- Monitoring inventory levels continually and expiration date data.
- Evaluating quantity discrepancies and quality issues, such as damaged products and entering issues into databases and contacting manufacturers to identify and resolve the issue.
- Conducting regular cycle counts and collecting and validating the count data.
- Managing the storage and outbound logistics of product returns to manufacturers as well as quarantined products.
Qualifications
- 2-4 years of experience, preferred
- High School diploma, GED or equivalent, or equivalent work experience, preferred
- Order picker / cherry picker forklift experience is a plus, other PIT and RF scanner experience is preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs consistently
- Must be willing to work at heights up to 25 feet in the air on a continual basis
- Self-Driven and Self-Motivated to hit standards
- Must be able to work overtime with little to no advanced notice
- Must be able to work occasional weekends
- Ability to focus on detail to prevent errors
