Job Description
Eurofins PSS is seeking a motivated and technically-skilled individual with strong in-vivo skills. The candidate will work directly on the client site in Boston, MA where they will support the client Neuroimmunology team. Candidates will participate in validating and advancing novel neuroimmune targets for CNS diseases. Primary responsibilities include assisting in the design and executing in vivo experiments as well as assessment of biomarkers from tissues and fluids. The successful candidate will be able to communicate data clearly and concisely to the appropriate teams and stakeholders and thrive in a team environment.
Qualifications
Required skills and competencies:
- Experience in rodent handling as well as dosing and advanced necropsy techniques (e.g. rat/mouse CSF collection, perfusion, discrete brain region/spinal cord dissection).
- Experience with designing and conducting PK/PD/efficacy studies.
- Experience with ex-vivo analysis techniques including biochemistry (e.g. western blotting, ELISA, MSD) and immunohistochemistry.
- Ability to work independently on data analysis including a practical knowledge of statistics.
- This position requires 90% of time in the lab.
Preferred Skills
- Prior pharmaceutical industry experience.
- Experience with rodent stereotaxic surgeries, ICV infusions/injections.
- Experience with rodent behavioral assays.
- Experience with a variety of mouse models of neurodegeneration.
- Experience with multiple therapeutic modalities (small molecule, antibody, peptide, RNA).
Education And Experience
- BS/BA degree in Biology, Neuroscience, pharmacology or equivalent degree with 3-5 years of industry experience OR MS degree with 3+ years of experience.
