CPS, part of the Optum family, is seeking a Director of Pharmacy to oversee all aspects of pharmacy services within a hospital setting. In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with hospital leadership and a dedicated CPS support team to drive clinical quality, operational excellence, and financial performance.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and manage all pharmacy operations, ensuring safe, efficient medication distribution
- Supervise, coach, and develop pharmacy staff, including pharmacists, technicians, and interns
- Oversee medication safety and quality initiatives to improve patient outcomes
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards (Joint Commission, USP, state and federal requirements)
- Manage budgets, inventory, and purchasing to balance cost and service delivery
- Partner with interdisciplinary teams to support patient care and organizational goals
- Implement policies, procedures, and performance metrics to drive continuous improvement
What We’re Looking For
- ACPE-accredited pharmacy degree (PharmD preferred)
- Active Florida Pharmacist license in good standing
- 3+ years of pharmacist experience in an acute care hospital setting
- 2+ years of pharmacy management experience in an acute care hospital setting
- Demonstrated teaching experience, professional involvement, or publications preferred
Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $110,200 to $188,800 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
