Primary Responsibilities
- Interpret classroom instruction, assignments, and discussions for students who are deaf or hard of hearing
- Facilitate communication between students, teachers, staff, and peers using ASL
- Support students during assemblies, extracurricular activities, and school-related functions
- Assist with meetings, conferences, and individual education plan (IEP) discussions as needed
- Clarify or relay information accurately while maintaining the intent and tone of communications
- Work collaboratively with educators and school staff to foster an inclusive environment
- Provide feedback on student progress and participate in team meetings to enhance support strategies
