In this role, you will design, build, and deploy scalable AI and machine learning solutions that drive business impact. You will contribute across the full AI lifecycle, developing traditional ML models and LLM-powered systems such as Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines and agentic AI systems. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, translate complex business challenges into technical solutions, and deliver reliable, performant systems aligned with client needs while staying current with emerging AI advancements. Responsibilities:
- Design and deploy machine learning models and LLM-based applications.
- Translate business challenges into scalable AI solutions aligned with defined success metrics.
- Develop RAG pipelines, embedding strategies, and vector search architectures.
- Build agentic workflows, prompt strategies, and orchestration patterns.
- Own AI/ML solutions end to end from design through deployment and operationalization.
- Evaluate model performance using automated and human-in-the-loop methods.
- Optimize AI systems for latency, cost, scalability, and reliability.
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and MLOps workflows.
- Implement monitoring, retraining, and model lifecycle management practices.
- Collaborate with engineers, data scientists, and product teams to deliver solutions. Qualifications:
- Relevant degree preferred.
- 2 or more years of relevant experience required.
- Experience deploying machine learning or AI applications into production environments required.
- Strong Python expertise and software engineering practices required.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills required.
- Demonstrated curiosity and interest in emerging AI technologies required.
- Experience with LLM-powered applications such as RAG or prompt-based systems preferred.
- Experience with APIs, model serving frameworks, or similar tools preferred.
- Familiarity with vector databases and embedding workflows preferred.
- Experience with cloud environments, CI/CD, and containerization preferred. Career Framework: Professional - Staff Associate (P2) Estimated Hiring Range: At Vizient, we consider skills, experience, and organizational needs in our compensation approach. Geographic factors may adjust the range estimate and hires typically fall below the top range. Compensation decisions are tailored to individual circumstances.
