Step into an impactful full-time role supporting students from Pre K to 6th grade as a Speech-Language Pathologist. This contract opportunity is based in a single school building near Bridgeport, CT, providing continuity and rapport with both staff and students. You’ll work closely with a caseload that includes students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), applying your expertise to foster communication skills and promote positive academic and social outcomes.
Required Qualifications And Experience
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current state licensure and ASHA certification (or eligibility)
- Previous experience delivering services in a school setting
- Demonstrated proficiency in working with children on the autism spectrum
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Commitment to supporting student growth in both group and one-on-one settings
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive speech, language, and communication evaluations
- Develop, monitor, and adjust treatment plans based on student needs
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to facilitate student success
- Deliver direct therapy services, including interventions tailored to students with ASD
- Maintain detailed documentation in accordance with school and regulatory requirements
- Participate in IEP meetings, providing expertise and recommendations
- Foster a positive, inclusive environment supporting students with diverse needs
