Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, Special Education, or Visual Impairments, active Teacher of the Visually Impaired certification and 1+ years Teacher of the Visually Impaired experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Key Qualifications
- Valid certification or licensure as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired or Visually Impaired Teacher
- Strong background in adapting curriculum and instructional techniques for students with visual impairments
- Experience developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Willingness and ability to travel to different school locations within the district
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative spirit
- Commitment to upholding the dignity and independence of all students
Your Role Will Include
- Providing specialized instruction to students with visual impairments in accordance with their IEPs
- Consulting and collaborating with general education teachers and staff on accommodations and accessibility practices
- Assessing student needs and assisting with the selection and use of adaptive technology and materials
- Facilitating skill development in braille, orientation and mobility, and independent living
- Documenting student progress and maintaining accurate records as required
- Participating in IEP meetings and ongoing professional development opportunities
This position provides a meaningful chance to work directly with students in diverse settings—no remote or hybrid options are available.
