This full-time, onsite position supports a student participating in an 18–21 job transition program, helping them build essential skills for life after graduation. The assignment runs from ASAP through June 17th, 2026, with hours from 7:05 am to 2:05 pm, Monday through Friday.
You will accompany the student throughout their day, starting at their morning check-in and traveling to various businesses in the community. As the dedicated nurse for this caseload, you'll ensure the student’s medical needs are met while encouraging their engagement and learning at each vocational site.
Qualifications And Skills
- Active RN license in the state is required
- Experience or strong interest in school nursing or working with students with medical needs
- Confidence in medication administration and seizure response protocols
- Ability to effectively manage 1:1 care in both school and community settings
- Exceptional communication and reliability
- A supportive and encouraging attitude toward helping students achieve their goals
Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 medical oversight to a student with a seizure disorder, including medication carriage and administration
- Monitor the student closely during participation at community job sites
- Maintain thorough, accurate records of care and interventions
- Collaborate with teaching staff, job coaches, and family as needed
- Uphold safety, discretion, and ethical standards at all times
