We are seeking a qualified
School Nurse to support an elementary school for the upcoming 2026–2027 academic year. This is a position ideal for a nurse looking for a consistent school-based schedule.
Position Details
- Schedule: 30 hours per week
- Assignment: 2026–2027 school year
- Setting: Elementary school (onsite)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to students, including first aid and management of acute and chronic health conditions
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and district policies
- Maintain accurate student health records and documentation
- Develop and monitor individualized healthcare plans (IHPs) and emergency care plans
- Collaborate with school staff, families, and healthcare providers to support student well-being
- Promote health education and preventative care within the school setting
- Ensure compliance with state and district health regulations
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license for Texas
- Previous pediatric or school-based experience preferred
- Strong organizational, communication, and clinical skills
- Ability to work independently in a school environment
