Job Summary And Qualifications
The Manager of Supply Chain Shared Services is a corporate-level leadership position that manages clinical and operational changes for the large scale, enterprise implementation of HCA’s next generation EHR platform and Data Integrity. This position requires an in-depth understanding and appreciation for supply chain processes, supporting technologies and capabilities, limitations, and impact on clinical and operational practice. This includes collaborating with supply chain operations to design and implement changes in workflow, while also maximizing adoption and usability. This role ensures that HCA’s strategic goals are supported and informed by the appropriate EHR strategies by collaborating with CSG, ITG, and HCA executives to define EHR and implementation solutions that align with and elevate organizational goals.
Responsible for the delivery of all supply chain EHR implementation strategies for our new EHR platform and system data integrity among multiple systems. Ensures that our next generation EHR platform program delivers value to the organization and the service lines supported specifically in both the short- and long-term.
Actively works with supply chain shared services leadership at the corporate, division, and facility level to develop vision, strategy, direction, and plans and to ensure execution and implementation. Works directly with the Supply Chain Operations and Surgical Services team to ensure appropriate item file preparation, preference card management, change management for post implementation maintenance and alignment to CSG and facility surgical services resources to drive system design decisions. Collaborates with the Expanse Implementation Team to ensure successful change management strategies, workflow-based training, and knowledgeable end-user support.
What you will do in this role includes:
- Leadership and support of implementation strategies for our next generation EHR platforms. Implementation includes end user engagement, communications, education, go-live support, post-live user support, and optimization
- Works together with the Expanse Leadership Team and SC Leadership, drives the clinical and operational supply chain vision for HCA's next generation EHR and effectively
- Works collaboratively with Corporate Supply Chain Shared Services Leadership, HCA Clinical Services Group and HCA Operational Services Group to identify opportunities for standardization across the company and to drive associated projects to advance standardization prior to the EHR transition
- Collaborate with the Change Management teams to develop and implement strategies for EHR supply chain, support services and pharmacy engagement and change management
- Leads and directs the Expanse Supply Chain Resources Team to drive system preparation and clean up to ensure smooth transition of item and preference card build
- Leads engagement and change management of facility and division supply chain leadership and staff; including the execution of Workflow Change Impact Assessments outlining current and future state change impacts
- Leverage’s objective and subjective information to assess the effectiveness of change management strategies and the impact informatics has on supply chain operations in order to improve staff engagement and implementation strategies
- Mobilizes and directs resources (internal/external) to ensure the success of both current EHR projects as well as ongoing EHR optimization and innovation
- Actively and enthusiastically promotes both current EHR initiatives as well as ongoing EHR learning and innovation
- Cultivates an environment for ongoing practice improvement/organization learning leveraging informatics
- Navigates the HCA Matrix to ensure alignment across all stakeholders and across all levels of the organization
- Works with executives across HCA business units as well as division and market leaders and the EHR Implementation Team to develop the overall strategy for end user engagement, adoption, training, implementation, and support
What qualifications you will need: - Bachelor’s degree – Required
- Master’s degree - Preferred
- Supply Chain leadership experience in healthcare – Required
- Supply Chain Surgical and Specialty Services or Operations experience of 5 years – Required
- Minimum of 5 years SMART and Electronic Heath Record experience – Required
- Expert knowledge of Meditech supply chain module - Required
- Expert knowledge of SMART - Required
- Expert experience and knowledge about working with EHR and clinical informatics solutions within a healthcare system - Required
- Progressive experience and solid understanding of the healthcare industry with a focus on enhancing clinician workflow via technology solutions to improve outcomes - Required
- Experience in business needs assessments, prioritization techniques, and business case development - Required
- Strong project management skills - Preferred
