The Filling Supervisor reports directly to the Manufacturing Manager and oversees daily filling operations to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant production aligned with schedule and quality standards. This role leads and develops frontline staff, enforces adherence to cGMP and SOPs, and serves as the first point of escalation for operational or quality issues. The supervisor partners cross-functionally to drive continuous improvement, maintain equipment readiness, and ensure accurate documentation and batch execution.

- Supervise daily aseptic filling operations to meet production schedules and volume targets
- Ensure proper setup, operation, and breakdown of filling equipment and lines
- Monitor in-process performance, troubleshoot issues, and escalate deviations as needed
- Coordinate line staffing and shift coverage to maintain efficiency
- Enforce adherence to cGMP, SOPs, and safety standards at all times
- Partner with Quality Assurance on deviations, investigations, and CAPAs
- Lead shift handoffs and communicate expectations clearly across teams
- Identify opportunities to improve throughput, reduce waste, and minimize downtime
- Support lean manufacturing or continuous improvement initiatives
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilites:
- Directly hire and lead a team of technicians and coordinators.
- Foster a positive and productive work environment, providing guidance, coaching, and mentoring.
- Conduct regular 1:1’s to address performance, feedback and relationship building.
- Identify training and development needs within the team and facilitate as able.
Experience and Necessary Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree and/or commensurate experience required
- 1-3 years of experience in supervising a cGMP FDA regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of cGMP guidelines/standards.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment and adaptable to change.
- Demonstrated written and oral communications skills including strong presentation skills.
- Strong results orientation.
- Proficient written, verbal and oral English communication skills are required.
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 tools including Outlook, Microsoft, and Excel.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, kneel, bend, and sit for extended periods of time as required.
- Ability to lift, push and pull up to 50 pounds periodically.
- Ability to maintain a gowning qualification.
