Summary
We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer II to design, develop, and optimize manufacturing processes, tooling, and equipment. This role focuses on improving product quality, increasing efficiency, and supporting new product introductions, along with end-to-end process validation.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop manufacturing processes, tooling, fixtures, and machine concepts
- Perform process characterization and define critical process parameters and outputs
- Lead process validation activities (IQ, OQ, PQ/PPQ) and ensure process qualification
- Conduct Process FMEA and support risk mitigation activities
- Improve product quality, throughput, and efficiency using Lean/Six Sigma principles
- Support new product introduction (NPI) and ensure Design for Manufacturability (DFM)
- Coordinate equipment procurement, build, debugging, and implementation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Quality, R&D, Operations)
- Provide technical guidance to engineers and technicians
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or related Engineering field
- 3+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering
- Strong knowledge of process validation, machine design, and process development
- Solid problem-solving, project management, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced team environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in medical device or regulated industries
- Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or higher)
- Experience in global or cross-functional environments.
