A contract opportunity is available for licensed School Psychologists providing telehealth assessments and support for K-12 students in the Sterling Heights, MI area. The position primarily involves conducting initial evaluations for elementary students within a public school setting. This role requires a proactive approach to supporting Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), with the current expectation that the psychologist leads the IEP process; however, upcoming changes to this responsibility are planned for the next school year.
Key Responsibilities Include
- Conducting comprehensive psychological assessments remotely via telehealth
- Collaborating with educators, families, and school staff to develop and implement effective educational plans
- Leading and documenting the IEP process and contributing to individualized student interventions
- Maintaining accurate and confidential records in compliance with school policies
- Staying updated with current laws and best practices in school psychology
Preferred Qualifications And Experience
- Current and active Michigan School Psychologist license (verification required)
- Experience working with K-12 populations, especially conducting initial evaluations for elementary students
- Strong skills in telehealth service delivery and virtual assessment techniques
- Familiarity with the IEP development process and special education regulations
- Ability to manage up to 40 hours per week, with a preference for full-time availability
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
This contract is effective immediately through June 12, 2026, with a strong preference for candidates who can commit to returning in the fall semester. Three positions are open for immediate placement.
