How will you make an impact?
Specialty Diagnostics Group (SDG) is a $3B+ global organization within Thermo Fisher Scientific, which offers diagnostic assays and instruments serving the healthcare market.
We are seeking a Senior Financial Analyst who will play a key role in the SDG finance team to drive the delivery of our near and long-term financial objectives. The scope of responsibilities includes advanced FP&A planning, complex analysis & reporting to execute financial goals and strategic initiatives to support a growing organization.
Responsibilities:
- Spearhead the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial planning and budgeting processes, providing critical insights and recommendations to senior management.
- Design and maintain advanced dashboards and reports using business intelligence tools to deliver actionable insights to key stakeholders.
- Collaborate with business partners to generate key assumptions and drivers for decision support, independently conduct ad hoc data analysis to identify business insights and observations.
- Partner with Corporate FP&A, Legal, and IT to ensure alignment on financial processes and requirements, facilitating seamless collaboration and information flow across the organization.
- Lead cross-functional projects, collaborating with various departments to drive financial initiatives and support business growth.
- Master Thermo Fisher’s financial systems, including Hyperion Planning, CMR, and various other Enterprise tools, and locally developed Power BI solutions. Use these systems to extract, analyze, and report financial data.
- Provide timely, accurate, and valuable information, demonstrating leadership and partnering cross-functionally to drive projects from planning through execution.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of financial reporting and analysis using tools like Power BI or ChatGPT Enterprise.
- Collaborate with peers to foster knowledge sharing and support continuous improvement across the organization.
Requirements/Qualifications:
Education
- Bachelor’s required
- Master's degree preferred
- Preferred field of study: Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field
Experience
- 3+ years of experience in financial analysis, reporting, accounting, and business partnering.
- Experience with Hyperion Planning, CMR, Power BI, or similar systems is preferred.

Compensation And Benefits
The salary range estimated for this position based in Massachusetts is $103,100.00–$154,700.00.
This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package that our U.S. colleagues and their families can count on, which includes:
