The Engineer II, Software is a developing professional who participates in creating and extending Omnicell products. This person is a solid developer who can apply industry and corporate best practices to produce quality applications. This person applies their practical and theoretical knowledge from Computer Science and previous experience in Healthcare or a related industry to maintain our OmniCenter Platform. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to implement new features, improve existing functionalities, and ensure the reliability of our software solutions.
Responsibilities
- Work as part of a team to design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and improve software
- Participate and assist in coordinating discussions and estimations required for product release planning
- Collaborate with software quality engineers in all phases of testing
- Collaborate with cross-functional team on documentation and training
- Assist with code reviews for fellow team members, as required
- Create unit tests to help ensure code quality throughout the application’s life cycle
- Understand how Omnicell solutions meet our customers' needs and how our suite of products are used across the continuum of care
- Work with your team and Technical support to troubleshoot and resolve 4th level escalations in a timely and professional manner.
Required Knowledge And Skills
- Proficient in Object oriented analysis, design, and programming
- Proficient in Using design and refactoring patterns
- Expertise in C#, .NET Framework, Angular, and SQL Server.
- Strong understanding of relational databases (specifically SQL Server) and experience with database design.
- Experience working in an Agile environment with Scrum methodologies
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good interpersonal communication skills
Basic Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- 2-4 years’ experience building applications with object-oriented architecture
Preferred Knowledge And Skills
- Experience with FoxPro is preferred; however, candidates with the ability and willingness to learn FoxPro will also be considered
- 2+ year of Experience in C# and the .NET Framework
- 2+ years of experience with a microservices architecture
- 1+ years of experience in Angular 4 or above
- 1+ years of public cloud experience
- 1+ year experience healthcare or pharmaceutical experience working with interfaces such as HL7, FHIR. EDI and working with PHI
- 1+ year of inventory / warehouse management
