This role primarily involves night shifts on a 7-on, 7-off schedule. The facility recently lost a pharmacist hired last summer and aims to onboard a permanent individual committed to long-term service. While travelers are considered to fill the role temporarily, preference is given to candidates interested in a permanent or temp-to-hire position.
Responsibilities
- Order verification and medication dispensing
- Supervising pharmacy technicians
- Managing pharmacokinetics processes
- Consulting with physicians, nurses, and other clinical staff
- Navigating hospital systems using Meditech electronic medical records
Qualifications/Desired Experience
- Valid Oklahoma pharmacist license
- Previous experience in a hospital or clinical pharmacy setting preferred
- Ability to work independently during night shifts
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for effective clinical consultation
