What We're Looking For
The Test Engineering team analyzes, develops, designs, and maintains test tools to validate product and system performance. Test Engineering performs tests and analyzes results through diagnostic programs. Works with multi-disciplinary engineering teams to resolve issues detected through testing. Work is evaluated upon completion to ensure objectives have been met. The Supervisor will determine and develop approaches to solutions. This role is a hybrid position and requires a minimum of three days per week in our Holtsville, NT office. Zebra reserves the right to modify your work location based on business need.
- Oversee the design and supporting development of testing and test solutions to several highly complex technical projects.
- Work with T&V Test Automation Developers in transforming applicable manual test procedures into automated tests and demonstrate an efficiency increase for the T&V group on a yearly basis.
- Validates system specifications for the projects. Supports technology roadmap process. Recommends project approach and goals.
- Fosters new thinking and creativity in team members to cultivate and retain top talent. Coaches others on how to effectively develop, communicate, and implement new solutions.
- Prioritizes quality and seeks out improvements in all aspects of the projects.
- Maintains awareness of competitor product technology and support engineering to help direct designs to surpass the competition.
- Uses status as a developer of novel and creative solutions to build business and bring positive attention to technologies and services.
- Work cross functionally to develop ideas and solutions to meet the customer needs before the competition.
- Analyzes competitor intellectual property and participates in activities related to protecting intellectual property.
- Provides direct supervision to a team of support engineers.
- Contributes to the development of policy innovation and integrated business solutions. Manages programs and/or product development initiatives.
- Contributes to the development operational policies within area managed, and delegates assignments. Accountable for and contributes towards profitability and/or cost containment by indirectly impacting the P&L through Account, Product Line, Research and Development, Operations, or functional management.
- Develops and implements programs/solutions to improve processes, reduce costs and cycle time, and improve customer service
- Internally recognizes associate potential, exercises judgment within broadly defined practices and policies in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results
- Significant knowledge in function, product, technology service, strategy, and business complexities to contribute to the development of creative solutions in area of expertise

Pay Range
$94,880.00 - $142,320.00 Annual
Incentive Compensation
In addition to base pay, Zebra offers this role the opportunity to earn a performance-based annual cash incentive, at a target equal to 10% of base pay, in accordance with the terms of the applicable incentive plan.

Salary offered will vary depending on your location, job-related skills, knowledge, and experience.

In most other roles, the Zebra annual cash incentive program links Company and individual performance together. Some roles may also be eligible for long-term incentive equity awards.
