Job Summary And Qualifications
The position has responsibility for developing strategies and managing operational alignment in Supply Chain Operations for multiple distribution centers within HCA US and UK, covering multiple divisions, including but not limited to Regional, Division, or Market Distribution centers.
This position has responsibility for all aspects of operational excellence for the Lakeland Regional Distribution Center and other regional, division, or market centers (Assigned Centers). This position may directly manage other corporate or field leaders.
What you will do in this role includes:
- This position assists with developing short and long-term strategic plans for distribution operations, and implements those plans across the Assigned Centers. Ensures that strategic plans are operationalized, directed, implemented, trained, measured, and monitored across the Assigned Centers. This position develops business plans, business case validations, capital requests, project plans, etc. for the Assigned Centers. This position ensures that all Assigned Centers are maintaining and improving the current freight management program, safety programs, warehouse security, warehouse facility and infrastructure, capital planning and budgeting, and business continuity implementation (disaster preparedness) and adherence to policies and procedures. This position regularly and routinely interacts with hospital facility leaders and staff to improve service delivery, optimize efficiency, and develop and test new best practices for additions or modifications to the operating mode.
- Develop and assist Division Supply Chain leadership to help manage operations to an annual aggregate operating budget.
- Implement and adhere to the global supply chain key performance metrics to ensure operational performance goals are identified and met throughout the Assigned Centers.
- Identify and drive execution of continuous improvement opportunities within supply chain operations based on results of operating and financial performance indicators.
- Develop and implement information systems solution strategies with IT&S to support distribution operations and other strategic business initiatives.
- Represent HCA in industry group settings and seek knowledge of supply chain strategies from the industry.
- Drive and maintain Division executive management support of the Supply Chain organization and its initiatives.
- Coordinate and analyze the success of annual division audits and ensure that corrective actions are initiated to ensure compliance with all Audit, Sarbanes Oxley and other regulatory requirements (including Pharmacy, as applicable).
- Support Division Supply Chain CEOs in minimizing overall costs and maximizing savings through the implementation of strategic operational and supply cost savings initiatives.
- Coordinate with Facility Operations to implement, improve, and optimize end-to-end requisition, fulfillment, delivery, and returns processes and systems in support of all HCA operating locations serviced by the Assigned Centers
- Implement all future consolidation initiatives ensuring consistent implementation of the distribution and freight operating platform.
- Lead and direct Supply Chain’s project management organization and its resources in all areas of responsibility
- Develop and implement business continuity (disaster recovery) strategies in conjunction with corporate and divisional stakeholders for all the Assigned Centers.
- Establish processes to work with stakeholders to establish and maintain sound practices around hiring and training of employees in all key areas
What qualifications you will need:
- Bachelor’s degree – Required
- Master’s Degree – Preferred
- Minimum of 5-10 years in a regional or global distribution setting to include operational experience
- developing, setting and implementing distribution center operations – Required
- The job may require up to 25% travel
