Director, Pharmacy Accreditation Support
Job SummaryManages the development, modification, implementation, and coordination of systems and processes necessary for pharmacies to meet relevant accreditation requirements. Responsible oversight of pharmacy accreditation compliance and renewals. Support new accreditation initiatives as necessary. Direct process improvements that optimize quality and maximize efficiency of pharmacy services consistent with standards of accrediting organizations. Facilitate the design, development, and implementation of initiatives supporting quality improvement and best practices. Monitor changes to accreditation standards and assist with updates to applicable policies and procedures to ensure compliance with standards while also encouraging operational efficiencies.

Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (This document in no way states or implies that these are the only duties to be performed by the employee occupying this position):1. Directs and contributes to the development, modification, implementation, and coordination of systems and processes necessary to meet all pharmacy accreditation requirements. 2. Manages the design, development, and implementation of improvement projects and initiatives supporting quality and accreditation. 3. Designs and develops templates, materials and guidance documentation for use by internal and external stakeholders. 4. Creates content and contributes to development of policies and procedures compliant with accreditation standards, serves as accreditation SME for policy and procedure development for internal and external stakeholders, and assists with record management and archive process for policies and procedures.5. Monitor changes to accreditation standards and assist with updates to applicable policies and procedures to ensure compliance with standards.6. Develops and participates in presentations and consulting with internal and external teams on accreditation requirements, activities, and outcomes.7. Serve as subject matter expert on accreditation and standard interpretation; educate internal and external stakeholders on standards and assist with operationalizing requirements.8. Manage the accreditation process including the uploading and monitoring of ACHC and URAC applications, preparing DeskTop Review, responding to RFI within designated timelines, developing Plans of Correction, and/or Corrective Action Plans, and monitoring entire application process through the approval and subsequent renewals.9. Work within organizational wide, cross-functional and multi-disciplinary teams to bring each pharmacy to a state of readiness, ensuring all accreditation compliance issues are addressed and ensure ongoing compliance with all standards and Plans of Correction and/or Corrective Action Plans.10. Conduct and/or oversee quarterly mock audits and gap analyses to ensure compliance with accreditation standards and track/trend issues to develop mitigation strategies.11. Prepare reports, contribute, and participate in the Enterprise Quality Management Committee and/or Sub-Committees such as Medication Safety, Education and Training, and Policy and Procedures or other committees as needed.12. Document, track, and disseminate risks, issues, assumptions, action items, decisions, and questions related to quality and accreditation initiatives.13. Lead complex projects simultaneously that may involve multiple internal and external stakeholders.14. Work with business leadership to define requirements, establish objectives, and define successful outcomes for quality initiatives and improvement projects.15. Train, mentor and coach on accreditation standards by providing focused orientation of applicable SOPs/policies and procedures.16. Support the pharmacy residency program by participating in the Residency Advisory Committee, collaborating with pharmacy residents on activities, and serving as mentor and preceptor when necessary.17. Travel as required to support current and future operations.18. May serve as interim pharmacist-in-charge, pharmacy or operations manager, staff pharmacist or other position as necessary to support operations across the enterprise.19. Promptly report any allegations of impropriety to the Compliance Department.20. Comply with Maxor’s Ethical Business Conduct policy and Maxor’s Compliance Program.21. Remain free from exclusion under the OIG and SAMS Medicare/Medicaid lists.22. Complete required training, as assigned, within the established timeframes.23. Must be able to cope with the mental and emotional stress of the position.24. Ensure staff are informed of product upgrades or enhancements in a timely manner.25. Hire and train competent staff.26. On a biweekly basis, verify departmental timesheets for departmental employees ensuring the timesheets are accurate based on the work-schedule and necessary corrections are done prior to timely Payroll submission.27. Develop and mentor departmental staff by providing career coaching; motivate departmental staff, individually and as a group; understand and support diversity; and establish an effective team.28. Conduct initial and annual performance evaluations.29. Promote teamwork; discipline staff when warranted.30. Maintain regular attendance in accordance with established policies.31. Perform other job-related duties as assigned
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree, or Pharm. D., from an approved school of pharmacy and active unrestricted licensure in relevant jurisdictions of practice, MHA or MBA preferred, Board Certification Specialty Pharmacy preferred. Completion of ASHP accredited residency desirable.Experience: Minimum 5 years’ experience relevant to the responsibilities and duties specified.
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities:1. Knowledge of policies and regulations pertaining to the practice of pharmacy in multiple jurisdictions.2. Knowledge of specialty pharmacy disease states and associated medications, clinical best practices, drug indications, contraindications, dosing, side effects, and proper administration.3. In-depth knowledge of ACHC and URAC accreditation requirements in pharmacy practice.4. Strong project management skills, including the ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines with proven ability to effectively manage multiple large-scale projects at once.5. Ability to ability to influence others in a dynamic and matrixed environment.6. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and ability to work effectively with all organizational levels.7. Strong meeting facilitation skills in both face-to-face and virtual situations, including the ability to make effective presentations.8. Sound business and technical acumen.9. Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.10. Works effectively in a team environment and communicates well using virtual tools. when team members are geographically dispersed.11. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and ability and willingness to learn Smartsheet, Confluence, and other tools as necessary.
Work Schedule
Hours will be Monday through Friday and may include 8-5, 9-6, or 10-7 or similar variation. Schedule and hours may vary due to travel or other business needs that may include holidays, weekends, nights and/or on-call. This is a remote position with some onsite activities and travel possible.
