This full-time contract position is for a Behavior Specialist or Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) within a school setting located in Puyallup, WA. The role supports students beginning September 3, 2025, through June 10, 2026, with the possibility of attending trainings prior to the start date. This onsite opportunity features a 7-hour paid workday, with a .5-hour unpaid lunch break, totaling 7.5 hours per day.
Responsibilities include managing a caseload that may involve building Behavior Support Plans (BSAs) for elementary students, as well as providing one-on-one behavioral support. The role requires implementation of evidence-based behavioral strategies to assist students in achieving their educational and developmental goals.
Qualifications And Experience Desired
- Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) credential or certifications such as Behavior Specialist Associate (BSA) or Certified Behavior Technician (CBT)
- Experience working in school settings with children, particularly in behavioral support roles
- Ability to manage caseloads involving both direct 1:1 support and development of behavior plans
- Valid Washington State licensure or credentials relevant to behavior support
- Completion of fingerprint clearance through the Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI)
