Position Summary
Drive product design and delivery for anesthesia billing workflows within athenaCollector. As Product Manager you will define the roadmap, prioritize work with data and customer insight, and partner with engineering, UX, analytics, and client-facing teams to deliver high-quality features that improve revenue capture and practice efficiency. This hybrid role is based in Boston, MA with an in‑office expectation of one day per week and reports to Product leadership.
About the Team
You’ll join a cross-functional revenue cycle team focused on modernizing core medical billing workflows used by athenaCollector clients. The team combines product, engineering, UX, and analytics to simplify complex billing processes, reduce administrative burden, and increase accurate, timely reimbursement for provider practices.
Essential Job Responsibilities
- Own the product backlog for anesthesia billing workflows: define epics, write user stories, and prioritize work to deliver measurable outcomes.
- Drive backlog allocation and make trade-off decisions between scope, schedule, and outcomes with a strong focus on customer impact.
- Partner with engineering, UX, analytics, product operations, and client-facing teams to scope, ship, and roll out features.
- Represent the customer for your product area—understand end-to-end user journeys, pain points, and success criteria.
- Use user research, market insight, and data to identify opportunities, validate solutions, and shape the product vision.
- Define and track metrics and success criteria to measure adoption, revenue capture, and operational efficiency improvements.
- Communicate product decisions and status to stakeholders and product leadership; prepare concise updates for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Support go-to-market activities, adoption plans, and post-launch optimization in partnership with product operations and client success.
- Advocate for product design that minimizes manual work and cognitive load for billing staff and clinicians.
- Integrate AI-assisted tooling where it drives practical value (e.g., automated coding suggestions, anomaly detection in billing data, or intelligent triage); pilot use cases, validate outputs, and measure impact on accuracy and developer/clinician efficiency.
Additional Responsibilities
- Contribute to cross-team initiatives that scale best practices across billing domains.
- Participate in stakeholder forums to gather feedback, align priorities, and share learnings.
- Help evolve product management practices and improve delivery processes within the team.
Expected Education & Experience

- 5+ years of professional experience with 2–4 years in product management or a related cross-functional role.
- Experience delivering products to market and working in Agile development environments.
- Familiarity with healthcare revenue cycle concepts or health IT is preferred.
- Strong analytical skills and experience using data to inform prioritization and measure outcomes.
