Position Overview
We are seeking a Technical Manufacturing Chemist to join the Infectious Disease Developed Markets business unit in Scarborough, Maine. This role is responsible for producing bioreagents used in immunology-based chromatography and enzyme testing, while ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and maintain the manufacturing production schedule.
- Perform in-process quality control (QC) testing, including qualifications, inspections, and titrations.
- Prepare critical and non-critical bioreagents in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Maintain compliance with GMP and GLP quality systems.
- Investigate process issues and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Develop, follow, and execute protocols related to product and process improvements.
- Adhere to all safety procedures and guidelines.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent production output and raw material availability.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Life Sciences, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Hands-on experience with laboratory techniques and equipment, including:
- Pipetting
- Spectrophotometry
- HPLC
- pH meters
- Gel Electrophoresis (including SDS-PAGE)
- ELISA assays

- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment with moderate supervision.
- Strong attention to detail and adherence to quality standards.
- Proficiency in computer applications, including spreadsheets, databases, and word processing tools.
- Good organizational and problem-solving skills.
