Seeking a skilled Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to support young learners in a school setting from February 16, 2026, through June 10, 2026. This contract position is located in Nevada City, CA, and offers approximately 30 hours per week, primarily serving students in Transitional Kindergarten through 2nd grade, including two Special Day Class (SDC) classrooms.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver individualized speech and language therapy services under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Work directly with students in TK through 2nd grade to support communication goals.
- Collaborate with educators and therapists to ensure integrated care and progress monitoring.
- Assist in maintaining detailed documentation of student progress and therapy sessions.
- Support classroom activities and SDC program initiatives related to speech and language development.
Qualifications
- Experience as an SLPA in educational settings, particularly with young children in early elementary grades.
- Familiarity with Special Day Class environments and specialized instructional methods.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams.
- Strong rapport-building skills with children and school staff.
- Valid certification or licensure as an SLPA as required by the state.
