A position is available for a skilled professional to serve as a School Psychologist supporting students across multiple grade levels, including K-5, 6-8, and 9-12. This role involves working within a school environment located in East Saint Louis, IL, under a contractual agreement.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational assessments and interpret results to inform individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop behavioral and academic interventions for students
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and provide consultation on student mental health, learning difficulties, and social-emotional development
- Support crisis intervention and prevention efforts within the school setting
- Maintain accurate and confidential documentation in compliance with district and legal requirements
Qualifications
- Valid licensure or certification as a School Psychologist in Illinois
- Experience working with students in grades K-12, with a preference for those skilled in supporting middle and high school populations
- Strong knowledge of assessment tools, intervention strategies, and special education laws
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with diverse stakeholder groups
- Ability to manage caseload efficiently and prioritize tasks effectively
