The Validation & Calibration Technician plays a critical role in maintaining our equipment identification systems, calibration programs, and validation processes to ensure compliance with GxP standards and regulatory requirements.
This position supports qualification and validation activities, prepares reports, and collaborates across teams to uphold our
Culture of Quality—where every employee is accountable for delivering safe, effective products to patients every day.
What You’ll Do
Quality & Compliance Excellence
- Maintain and manage equipment identification systems, calibration schedules, and ERP records
- Perform in-house calibrations and coordinate third-party calibration services
- Ensure all activities comply with SOPs, cGMPs, OSHA, and regulatory requirements
- Review and update SOPs and Work Instructions to drive continuous improvement
Validation & Reporting
- Prepare Annual Product Review (APR) reports related to validation and qualification
- Assist in developing validation and qualification protocols
- Collect, analyze, and interpret validation data
- Write and finalize validation reports, ensuring timely approvals
- Support execution of validation and qualification testing
Collaboration & Ownership
- Partner with business and equipment owners to develop User Requirement Specifications
- Act as a backup/designee for Validation Specialist responsibilities
- Support system impact assessments (e.g., Microsoft upgrades for validated systems)
Continuous Improvement & Culture
- Participate in Kaizen events, 6S audits, and process improvement initiatives
- Identify opportunities to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and strengthen compliance
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
- Promote a proactive, team-oriented Culture of Quality
Qualifications
What You Bring
Knowledge & Experience
- Basic knowledge of the pharmaceutical or related regulated industry
- 1–2 years of experience in metrology, calibration, or ERP systems preferred
- Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered
Skills & Abilities
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Working knowledge of ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to interpret data and generate clear, accurate reports
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
Education
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Some college coursework in Science, Engineering, or related field preferred
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Work across office, manufacturing, and warehouse environments
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift (up to 25 lbs regularly; occasionally more)
- May require use of PPE (safety glasses, hearing protection, safety shoes, etc.)
- Repetitive computer use and data entry required
