Job Description
The Deputy Manager – Mechanical will be responsible for overseeing mechanical maintenance activities to ensure smooth and efficient plant operations. The role includes planning and executing preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of plant machinery and equipment. The incumbent will coordinate with production and other departments to minimize downtime and improve equipment reliability. He will also ensure compliance with safety standards, statutory requirements, and company policies. Additionally, the role involves supervising the maintenance team, maintaining maintenance records and SOPs, managing spare parts inventory, and supporting installation, commissioning, and improvement projects within the plant
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage all mechanical maintenance activities in the plant.
- Ensure smooth operation and reliability of mechanical equipment and machinery.
- Plan and execute preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance activities.
- Monitor equipment performance and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime.
- Coordinate with production, electrical, and other departments for efficient plant operations.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, statutory requirements, and company policies.
- Maintain proper documentation of maintenance records, SOPs, and reports.
- Manage spare parts inventory and ensure availability of critical spares.
- Lead and supervise the mechanical maintenance team and contractors.
- Participate in new project installations, commissioning, and equipment upgrades.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment efficiency and reduce maintenance costs.
Qualifications
- B.E / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.

- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and plant maintenance.
- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Team management and leadership skills.
- Knowledge of safety practices and maintenance planning.
