A contract position is available for a School Psychologist to serve multiple public schools throughout Monroe County, MI for the 2026-2027 school year. This role requires travel among assigned school locations, including Monroe Public, Dundee, Jefferson, and Airport schools. Services will be provided onsite to a diverse student population ranging from kindergarten through 12th grade.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations for K-12 students to support special education eligibility determination and intervention planning.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement effective behavioral and educational plans.
- Provide counseling and crisis intervention as needed.
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and provide expert recommendations.
- Maintain accurate records, reports, and confidential student information.
- Fulfill compliance and documentation requirements related to psychological services.
Qualifications
- Valid Michigan School Psychologist license (verification required via state credential search).
- Experience working with K-12 students in educational settings preferred.
- Ability to travel regularly among multiple school sites within Monroe County.
- Strong interpersonal, assessment, and problem-solving skills.
- Commitment to providing culturally responsive psychological services.
