About The Role
Morris & Dickson is seeking a motivated and reliable Distribution Center Associates for its new state-of-the-art Distribution Center in Olive Branch, Mississippi. Whether you are just starting your career in distribution or bring prior warehouse or leadership experience, we have opportunities for both Tier I (entry-level) and Tier II (experienced) associates. This role is ideal for those who thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and take pride in accuracy, safety, and organization.
What You'll Do
- Receive, stock, and package inbound and returned merchandise
- Maintain accurate inventory records and manage stock organization
- Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, dollies, or forklifts
- Ensure safety and cleanliness standards are consistently met
- Support team members through communication and collaboration
- Assist with special projects or leadership tasks as experience allows
What Success Looks Like
- Complete safety and equipment training and apply safe practices on every task
- Learn inventory locations, product handling standards, and core workflows
- Meet attendance and reliability expectations and communicate clearly with teammates and leads
- Achieve at least 98 percent accuracy on receiving, stocking, picking, and packing
- Sustain 99 percent pick and pack accuracy with units per hour that meet team targets
- Maintain zero preventable safety incidents with consistent adherence to all SOPs
- Keep work areas organized and audit-ready with accurate labels and counts
- Cross-train in at least one additional function, such as receiving, putaway, picking, packing, or returns
- For Tier II, serve as a go-to resource, coach newer teammates, identify bottlenecks, partner with the lead to adjust assignments, and suggest process improvements that enhance accuracy, speed, and safety
What You’ll Need To Succeed
- At least 2 years of experience in a distribution center; leadership or supervisory experience is a plus
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage moderately complex tasks
- High school diploma or GED required
- Excellent organizational skills with sharp attention to detail
- Physical stamina to lift 50 lbs and remain on your feet (standing/walking) for at least 90% of the shift
- Experience using pallet jacks, dollies, and other warehouse equipment
- A collaborative, team-focused mindset with a proactive work ethic
- Basic proficiency with computers and warehouse systems
Preferred Qualifications
- Forklift and turret truck/stock picker experience
Compensation
- Tier II $19 to $26 per hour
- Tier I $16 to $22 per hour
- Actual rate depends on experience
Schedule
- 1st and 2nd Shift: End times vary based on production needs; flexibility is required.
