A full-time Special Education Teacher position is available in the Philadelphia, PA area, serving middle school students in grades 6-8. This contract role runs from ASAP through June 10th, 2026, offering a 37.5-hour workweek. Teaching in a small caseload setting, the role focuses on delivering specialized instruction tailored to the needs of each student.
Responsibilities Include
- Providing specialized instruction within a middle school classroom environment
- Developing, implementing, and updating Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Conducting diagnostic assessments to inform instructional planning
- Monitoring student progress and collecting relevant data
- Collaborating with education teams to ensure compliance with special education regulations and best practices
Qualifications
- Valid Pennsylvania Special Education teaching certification
- Current Pennsylvania state clearances
