Schedule: Mon - Fri 2:30pm to 11pm with rotating weekends

Medication History Pharmacy Team
Ensures appropriate utilization of pharmacy automation systems, ADC platforms, and electronic health records. Reviews and interprets electronic reports to monitor system performance, medication safety, and compliance. Directs compliance with state, federal, and institutional regulations, including USP standards, DEA requirements, and accreditation protocols. Leads monthly inspections, quality audits, and process improvement initiatives to maintain operational excellence. Supervises pharmacy technician staff, including recruitment, onboarding, scheduling, and performance management. Conducts evaluations, addresses disciplinary actions, and facilitates professional development through coaching, mentoring, and competency validation. Facilitates medication safety practices and supports pharmacist-led care initiatives. Oversees technician contributions to medication history collection, clinical service support, and delivery of safe, timely, and accurate medications. Serves as a liaison between pharmacy technicians, pharmacists, and interdisciplinary teams. Promotes effective communication, conflict resolution, and team engagement to optimize patient care and service delivery. Coordinates technician training programs and supports experiential learning for pharmacy technician students and residents. Validates competencies and models excellence in instructing, coaching, and evaluating performance. Participates in departmental planning, shared governance, and enterprise initiatives. Leads or supports clinical research, stewardship efforts, and innovation projects that advance pharmacy technician practice and operational performance. Oversees pharmacy technician operations with mastery across all core and advanced workflows, systems, and operational programs. Maintains active proficiency in technician functions and provides coverage in any pharmacy practice area as needed to support service continuity and strategic goals. Directs daily workflow across pharmacy technician teams, including task prioritization, workload distribution, staff coverage, and assignment of responsibilities. Ensures operational consistency across shifts and practice areas through structured handoffs and team huddles. Supervises the preparation and delivery of patient-specific medication doses, ensuring accuracy in drug selection, compounding, labeling, and barcode scanning. Manages inventory operations including receiving, rotation, storage, and reconciliation, with oversight of controlled substances and hazardous medications. Other duties as assigned.

Education:
• High School Grad or Equiv [Required]
• Technical/Vocational School [Preferred]
Field of Study:
• Completion of a pharmacy technician training program [Preferred]
Work Experience:
• 3+ years of contemporary hospital pharmacy experience [Required]
