A contract opportunity is available for a School Psychologist to cover a maternity leave from February 2nd through May 15th in Cambridge, MA. This assignment is based in a middle school serving grades 5-8 and provides a chance to apply your expertise in a supportive educational environment. The position offers a full-time schedule Monday through Friday from 7:30am to 2:30pm, with flexibility for part-time contractors interested in contributing to student success.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct initial evaluations and re-evaluations for students requiring special education services
- Collaborate closely with the principal and assistant principal to support student needs
- Manage IEP documentation and reporting using the Frontline platform
- Provide psychological assessments and assist in developing appropriate intervention plans
Desired Qualifications And Experience
- Valid certification as a School Psychologist
- Experience working with middle school populations (grades 5-8) preferred
- Proficiency using Frontline or similar IEP platforms is a plus; training and peer support available
- Strong communication and organizational skills to efficiently manage evaluations and reporting
- Ability to work independently within a school building supported by district-wide psychological services
