A contract Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available in a school setting located in Gary, IN. This role supports students from kindergarten through 12th grade, providing essential speech and language services to enhance communication skills across a diverse student population.
Location: Gary, Indiana
Schedule: 35 hours per week
Contract Dates: August 10, 2026 May 28, 2027
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments for K-12 students
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each students needs
- Work collaboratively with educators, parents, and other professionals to support student progress
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting interventions as necessary
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute to goal setting
- Maintain compliance with state and federal guidelines regarding therapy services
Qualifications
- Valid state licensure or certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Experience working with students in grades K-12 preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively with interdisciplinary teams
- Familiarity with special education laws and IEP processes
