AssureCare® is seeking an Accounting and Finance Vice President who is hungry to help build an organization and lead the effort to meet our financial goals, budget priorities and national accounting standards. This person must be able to lead others and collaborate with others, is unafraid to speak truth to power and is agile in their approach to projects. If he/she sees a problem, they are willing to own it. Must have a strong work ethic, commitment to excellence and an entrepreneurial spirit. The successful candidate must be confident in their ability to understand all aspects of finance and accounting in a Software as a Service (SaaS) environment including supervision, development and mentorship of direct reports and colleagues. This person serves as a Controller for the AssureCare business and reports to the CFO of Vora Ventures and the CEO of AssureCare.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Act as a strategic business partner to senior executive leadership team
- Directing all aspects of accounting operations, overseeing all transactions related to general ledger, receivables, payables, invoicing, payroll and financial reporting.
- Build and maintain all financial modeling and forecasting tools including budgets, operational forecasts and long- and short-term projections.
- Lead all financial planning and results management. Work with other team members to understand revenue and cost drivers and define appropriate reports for tracking.
- Assess and evaluate financial performance of organization with regard to long-term operational goals, budgets and forecasts.
- Manage and complete all aspects of the month-end close process, constantly reviewing procedures while eliminating inefficiencies.
- Review all month-end closing activities including general ledger accounts, balance sheet accounts and overhead cost allocation.
- Oversee all cash management activities
- Enhance and implement financial and accounting systems, processes, tools and control systems
- Coordinate and Strategize with other members of leadership to attain company financial and operational goals
- Analyzing company's financial results with respect to profits, trends, costs and compliance with budgets.
- Create and establish yearly financial objectives that align with the company’s plan for growth and expansion
- Manage and coordinate relationships with lenders and financial institutions as well as investment firms and venture capital
- Coordinating and/or preparing tax schedules, returns and information.
- Provide guidance and develop internal operational strategies to assist in organizational efficiencies.
- Directing financial merger and acquisition activities including company valuation, due diligence, contract language and structure, and tax planning and structural strategies.
- Manage all company contracts including compliance with client contracts and service procurement negotiations
Skills / Qualifications:
- 5-10 years of experience
- Knowledge and expertise with SaaS and/or health companies required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
- Master’s Degree preferred
- Ability to lead others, work independently and take ownership of projects and results
- Attention to detail
- Analytical
- Ability to negotiate and present financial data internal and external to the organization
- Highly skilled in Excel
