Job Specifics and Requirements:
Area: Near Indianapolis, IN
Licensure Requirements: Must have open, active, and in good standing IN State Pharmacist License
Education: Pharm D
Years of Experience: 2+ years of pharmacist experience in an inpatient setting. Previous experience with IV compounding is essential.
Schedule: Full-Time
Pay: $141,000 - $149,760 DOE
Background/ Drug Requirements: Must be willing to submit to a background check, health and drug screen.
Pharmacist
Job Responsibilities:
• Review and verify medication orders for appropriateness, dosing, drug interactions, and contraindications
• Provide clinical pharmacy services to patients in acute care hospital settings
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and healthcare team members to optimize medication therapy
• Monitor patient medication profiles and make therapeutic recommendations
• Respond to drug information inquiries from healthcare staff
• Participate in medical rounds and provide clinical consultations
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, state and federal regulations
• Document all clinical interventions and maintain accurate patient records
• Prepare and dispense medications in accordance with established protocols
• Educate patients and healthcare staff on proper medication use and safety
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and medication safety programs
• Provide emergency response for code situations and critical care needs
