A Special Education Teacher position is available in San Francisco, CA, offering a contract role within a dedicated school setting. This onsite opportunity focuses on providing specialized instruction to students requiring additional educational support, emphasizing transitional and kindergarten programs.
Responsibilities
- Deliver tailored instruction aligned with each students Individualized Education Plan (IEP).
- Manage and support a caseload primarily comprising transitional and kindergarten students, with some details yet to be finalized.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including general education teachers and support staff, to ensure comprehensive educational services.
- Maintain detailed records of student progress and participate in ongoing assessments.
- Foster an inclusive classroom environment that promotes student growth and development.
Qualifications And Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field.
- Valid California Teaching Credential, including an Education Specialist Instruction Credential.
- Demonstrated experience in special education settings, particularly with early childhood or transitional-aged students.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a collaborative school community.
- Commitment to student-centered education and adherence to best practices in special education.
Position Details

- Schedule: 37.5 hours per week, onsite.
