Key Responsibilities
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Materials Planning, Scheduling, Inventory Control & Optimization
- Ensure timely availability of raw materials (RMs), packaging materials (PMs). The role focuses on planning, scheduling, coordinating with stakeholders in alignment with the production plan.
- Create and manage Material Requirement Plans (MRP) using ERP system and raise purchase requisition.
- Maintain optimal inventory levels based on production schedules and lead times.
- Track slow‑moving, non‑moving, and expired materials.
- Identify and reduce inventory carrying costs.
- Track and Support return/rejection transactions,
- Cross‑Functional Coordination & Procurement Support
- Coordinate with procurement for timely PO creation and follow‑ups.
- Monitor supplier delivery performance and proactively address delays.
- Review lead times, MOQ, safety stock, and forecasting accuracy.
- Track inbound shipments and ensure smooth GRN (Goods Receipt Note) posting.
- Collaborate with QA/QC for sampling, testing, and timely release of materials.
- Participate in daily production review meetings and highlight material risks.
- Co-ordination & Data compilation for Monthly KPI Dashboard and MIS reports to management .
Key Skills Required
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical materials: APIs, excipients, primary/secondary packaging.
- Strong understanding of GMP, GDP, and regulatory compliance.
- ERP/MRP proficiency (SAP/ Oracle).
- Analytical, forecasting, and problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent communication and internal/external stakeholders management capability.
- Inventory optimization and ABC/XYZ analysis.
- ERP and advanced Excel proficiency.
- Strong organizational and team management skills.
- Familiarity with controlled substances and hazardous material handling.
