A contract position is available for a skilled Visually Impaired Teacher to provide specialized educational support within a school setting located in Garland, TX, with services extending to a south campus in Fort Worth. This role involves working closely with students who are visually impaired, ensuring they receive tailored instruction and resources necessary for their academic success.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver specialized instruction and support to students with visual impairments.
- Collaborate with educational teams to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Provide 20 minutes of consultation every six weeks to support student progress and adapt teaching methods.
- Incorporate 40 minutes of compensatory services into the schedule, as determined during the annual ARD meeting.
- Utilize assistive technology and adapt teaching materials to meet the needs of visually impaired students.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired in a school environment.
- Knowledge of educational strategies and resources for students with visual impairments.
