A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed for a high school setting in New Haven, CT. This contract position involves managing a caseload of approximately 60 students, working collaboratively with a partnering SLP. The role offers the flexibility of part-time and hybrid schedules and requires knowledge of Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices. Immediate start is preferred, continuing through the end of the school year.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct speech and language assessments and provide direct therapy to students.
- Collaborate with the partnering SLP to manage the caseload effectively.
- Develop and implement IEP goals and progress reports.
- Utilize AAC devices to support students with communication needs.
- Participate in team meetings and coordinate services with educators and families.
Qualifications
- Valid SLP certification with CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence).
- Experience working in a high school environment preferred.
- Familiarity with AAC devices and technology.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
